FOXXSTEM is seeking a GIS Specialist for our Washington, DC office but this opportunity can be conducted remotely. A successful candidate will provide GIS support for a variety of projects in different practice sectors through the development of maps, databases, and spatial analyses. The GIS Specialist will be expected to work in the Esri software platform and become knowledgeable in the core services that FOXXSTEM offers its clients, such as Construction Management, Program Management, Asset Management and Design Services.

Job Duties:
 

  • Experience working with Esri products suite, including ArcGIS Desktop with 3D Analyst & Spatial Analyst Extensions, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal), and other GIS software such as Google Earth Pro.
  • Experience publishing and managing feature services and using ArcGIS Online/Enterprise to develop and share web maps.
  • Strong aptitude for using MS Office Suite, in particular MS Excel.
  • Experience with Asset Management software such City Works is a plus.



Requirements:
 

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university program in GIS, IS/IT, Geography, or Environmental Science with a certificate (preferred) or strong aptitude in GIS and other related information sciences.
  • 4 years experience through internships or professional jobs are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and is naturally motivated, focused, hard-working, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and assist with cross-training as needed.
  • Possesses attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
